Ariane Dutzi, designer and founder of dutzi design, inc., is a former fashion editor in Paris and New York, an idealist, and a person who believes in making the world a better place little by little. She believes that business is a way to make money, but more importantly, to give back. Dutzi designs, inc., offers Mayan men and women, who are skilled craftsmen, the opportunity to work, hand-making the bags designed by Ariane Dutzi. This provides them with a way to make a living and also empowers them to set fair prices for their work. Dutzi designs, inc., also allows them to establish and build community with other artisans. Ariane Dutzi divides her time between New York and Valladolid, where she shares her home with her two Jack Russell terriers, Luna and Cinza. She is passionate about her work and loves to travel.
